i had a verbal agreement with a fishing club?
i had a verbal agreement with a fishing club to baliff there waters for 12 months (52 visits to the lakes) and had to get a signature from any members that were there. because times are hard the fishing club refused to give me my free membership the following year after i did more than required..do i have the right legaly to take any action against the fishing club??
Sorry, but from what you say I wouldn't think so. Depending on the state, a verbal contract may be binding but it would be very hard to prove - your word against theirs. Unless they admitted they said that you got to fish for free not only last year but this year as well, as compensation for last years' services, then I don't think you can do anything about it. They would have to openly declare this in court which they won't do if you are suing them. Next time you enter into an agreement, get it on paper and don't expect too much out of assumed or implied benefits such as an additional year of access.
I assume you don't want to be bailiff again this year or you would have already offered right? That would be the first thing that comes to mind if you want to fish for free again.
