Acne laser treatments .. any adivce ..?

Well, my husband has acne scars and pimples really bad even though some is about 30 years we have concluded to go through some sort of laser treatment to soften your skin .. I wonder how well they work .. price ranges .. and if anyone had actual experience .. and you also have to go back for more treatments? If you can recommend anyone that would be great to live in Los Angeles, CA. It been on medication for acne for over 10 years and has helped, but not fix the scars ...
